I'm a hsp / hss deeply in love with photography, music and animals. Born 1970, as the end result of my two jazz musician parents, and music has been a rather big part of my life since early childhood. At age 7 I started playing the violin, which I exchanged for a drum kit at 14. A couple of years later I also started experimenting with my mothers acoustic guitar, as well as keyboard, and a few years later bass and digital recording. At the moment I have put my music interest on hold in favor for a seemingly ever growing photography interest.

My first photographic experience was my mothers Kodak Instamatic, and during trips as a child and young adult I always had a camera with me to document things, but I got really interested in photography in 2008 when I bought my first SLR (a Canon 20D). Digital photography awoke my interest, but soon afterwards the discovery of analog film photography made me passionate about it. Now I preferably shoot analog, using the digital camera mostly as a backup.

I work as a software developer since 1989, currently at Extenda (since 2007). I love to travel, but don't do it nearly as much as I want. Married 1995 with Daniela who died 1996, and remarried 1999 with Marie. I've got a really big heart for all kinds of animals, and mostly for this reason I'm a vegetarian since 2000.
Interests
I remember several times a nice photo opportunity has presented itself and I've thought "Oh that's very nice, I'll take a picture of it tomorrow." only to find it's gone the very next day. The same thing has even happened within just a matter of minutes, or even seconds. You simply can't take for granted that what you see will still be there for you in the future, not even the very close future.

Exactly the same thing applies to everything else, big and small: love, faith, economy, work and life itself.

Perhaps this saying has its strongest meaning when someone close to you dies, especially when it happens quickly and unexpectedly. When you expect to see someone every day for a long time ahead, you take that someone for granted, naturally. But knowing that this could change in an instant, one should really treasure and value every hour together. Being present in the moment. And take pictures of it.

For when it is all over, everything that is left is your memories. And your camera is a memory maker. Don't wait with taking pictures of your loved ones, thinking "I can always take pictures later". Because maybe you can't.

Welcome to #Fujifilm-Analog and thank you for joining!

Please feel free to submit new or old images from your gallery. Submission rules are in the Group Info on the group Home page and on the About Us page. There's no limit on the number of submissions yet as the group is still young and I want to pack it with as much great art as possible.
